Post Script
As I hope I’ve shown in these tales, the Greencrafts community has been an enormous part of my adult life. When I look at my friendships, most of them have come to me through or been reinforced and reinvigorated by the festivals that I have participated in for so many years. And I can now say that Greencrafts saved my life.
I was taken very seriously ill a while back in Ireland at The Electric Picnic – unknown to me, an infection had been settling in my heart for some time and came to a critical mass as I was setting up. Thanks to the very prompt action and collaboration of my wonderful personal crew together with the extraordinary Greencrafts crew, and their joint recognition of the severity of what was happening, I survived. It was touch and go.
I would like to thank you all, including the women who came together that first night in the Greencrafts field with a cauldron to perform a sacred healing ceremony for me, those who held me in their love and care through those early critical days and weeks and into my recovery, and to all those family, friends and members of the public it has been such a delight to work and share with for so many years. I no longer have the hand strength to smith much, but the memories and the joyous tales live on.
I have deliberately not named anyone here, but you know who you are, how much you mean to me and just how much you have all brought joy and purpose to my life.
