ADVICE ON PULLING OUT –

a crash course in recovery

Digging in, you’re dug in –
Well and truly stuck…
Eyes straight ahead and blinkered,
Your wheels trapped deep in muck.

“I want to go THAT way!”

Accept a simple backward glance,
A retreading of your track
And you’ll be safe on terra firma:
But how you hate to double back –

“I don’t want to go THAT way!”

With a small adjustment to your compass
You’d be on the road again,
A slightly different destination,
Who knows where, with whom or when…

“But I wanted to go THAT way!”
